WGN Morning News ComediansMike Toomey
with Ana Belaval / Pat Tomasulo
Mike Toomey - With his Sharp Delivery, quick wit, and unique style, Mike Toomey has been a favorite at comedy clubs and special events since 1982. Mike has appeared in concert with such names as Wayne Newton, Crosby, Stills & Nash, and Reba McIntyre. He has performed on numerous television programs including; HBO's U.S. comedy Arts Festival in Aspen Colorado; MTV's Half Hour Comedy Hour; and A&E's Comedy on the Road.
Ana Belaval - When Ana is not out and about in Chicago for the Morning News, she can also be seen onstage doing stand-up comedy. After performing stand-up for the first time for a Chicago celebrity event at Zanie's, Ana received so many laughs that she continues to write and perform comedy sets at various Chicagoland area venues with her WGN colleagues Pat Tomasulo and Mike Toomey, as well as with The Mikey O Comedy Show. Ana is currently working on her own one woman show. She is the host of Chicago Stand Up Project on WTTW - a documentary-style show featuring two well-known Chicagoans who try their hand at stand-up comedy. Ana was recently invited to be a guest host for ABC's "The View" which aired July 15th, 2014.
Pat Tomasulo - Pat Tomasulo realized his talents at a young age. As a 3-year old, he regularly performed a one-boy, all nude revue in his parents' living room, called The Johnny Lenny Show (he knew neither a "Johnny," nor a "Lenny"). Quite frankly, it's been all downhill since then, yet Pat continues to trudge along.
He is a regular at the Chicago branch of the Laugh Factory, and performs all over the Midwest. Pat's also the sports anchor for the WGN Morning News, Chicago's dominant #1-rated AM newscast and has hosted a few national TV programs, including the ABC primetime series Shaq Vs and Live with Regis and Kelly.
